Anna Barnett (Barnes) Garner, age 87, passed away September 10, 2023 at Morristown Manor, Morristown Indiana.

Anna was born September 18, 1935, to George Marvin Barnett and Dova Jane Abbott Barnett, who preceded her in death.

Anna was a devoted mother to her three children, two of whom survive,  Donna (Lyle) Tuggle of Monticello, Ky., Sandy (Sam) Collins of New Palestine, IN as well as six grandchildren, Steven (Gina) Tuggle, Yorktown, VA, Marla (Seth) Rice of Monticello, Ky, Brian (Grace) McColley, Indianapolis, IN., Justin (Shelley) McColley of Waxahachie, TX, Matthew Garner and Tara Garner of Richmond, Ky, eleven great grandchildren, Natalie, Cainen, Grant, Olivia, Layne, Carter, Isabel, Matthew, Daniel, Zoey, Marley, one sister; Annetta Sublett, anda host of nieces, nephews and friends left behind to mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Garner and five siblings, Alta Davenport, Christine Fairchild, Audrey Greene, Arlie, and Avery Barnett.

Anna's life was blessed in many, many ways, but above all she was blessed to know Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Prior to her illness she was a faithful member of White Hall Baptist Church, Richmond, Ky.

The family will receive friends on Friday September 15, 2023, in the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel between 11 am – 1 pm, with the funeral service following at 1 pm. The burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, her family request that expressions of sympathy be donations to Mountain View Baptist Camp, Monticello, KY.
