Anthony Atwood, Sr. was born July 27, 1955 and departed this life Wednesday, February 12, 2020 reaching the age of 64 years. He was the son of (the late) William Claude and Betty Lee (Rogers) Atwood.

He is survived by: his wife, Marlena Atwood; sons, Chris Atwood, Anthony Atwood, Jr., Josh Atwood and step-son, Shannon Lantz; step-daughter, Candy Gordon; 3 brothers, William Michael, Robert Paul and Charles Lee Atwood; 3 sisters, Barbara Sue Mullins, Arlene Elizabeth Wallace and Wilma Lee Koger; and 6 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, William Claude and Betty Lee (Rogers) Atwood.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 14, 2020 between 10 am – 12:30 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 14, 2020 at 12:30pm at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery at 2:30 pm with military honors provided by our local DAV Chapter 105.
