Obituary
'Artie Marie Clark Hammond, age 81 was born November 17, 1934 in the Lower Turkey Creek community of Wayne County, the daughter of the late Sherman and Elsie Morrow Clark. She passed away October 7th, 2016 at the Pickett Care and Rehab Center in Byrdstown, Tennessee.
On June 28, 1959 she united in marriage with Jessie Franklin Hammond who passed away January 17, 2016. To this 56-year union three children survive: Fred and his wife Debbie Hammond, Judy and husband Michael Ditchen and Scott and his wife Kelli Hammond.
Also surviving are four grandchildren; Matthew and Alie Ditchen and Jacob and Trevor Hammond; her siblings: Lucille Mize and Bro. Hurstle Clark.
She is preceded in death by her siblings: Bro. Vernon Clark, Addie Vaughn, Carrie Lee Sexton, Adell Thompson Robert Clark and Mary Sue Cooper.
Mrs. Hammond had accepted Christ as her Savior and served her husband and Lord as a Pastors wife. She was a faithful member of the Monticello First Baptist Church at the time of her passing.
