'Audean Burton Denney was born July 6, 1925 at Faubush in Pulaski County and departed this earth with her family by her side at her home on the family farm in the Susie Community on October 6, 2011 at the age of 86 after a four year battle with Parkinson-s. She was the daughter of the late Luke and Lucy Tuggle Burton. Audean was the only sister of four brothers. Audean became the lady of the house at age 16 when her mother passed away from Rabbit Fever.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil and Kenneth Burton, and her husband Hack Denney. Audean is survived by two brothers, James Burton of the Fall Creek Community and Wendell Burton of Touristville.

Audean was united in marriage with Hack Denney January 6, 1951, a marriage of 60 years until his passing in May of this year. To this union was born two children, David Denney who lives next door and Linda Martin of Fall Creek. Also surviving are Audean-s four grandchildren, Nathan Denney of Somerset, Natalie Denney Gupton of Lexington, Jason Martin of Fall Creek and Stephanie Martin Floyd of Fall Creek.

Audean was a member of the Bethesda United Method Church and a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
