'Barbara Denney, age 70 was born, October 3, 1941 the daughter of the late Johnny and Mildred Catron Pyles. She passed away Easter Sunday afternoon; April 8th, at her home in the Powersburg Community.

In 1963 she united in marriage with her surviving husband, Wendell Lee Denney. Surviving is her sister: Shirley and husband J.C. Hoskins of Monticello; her mother-in-law: Georgia Denney; two nieces; Shannon and husband David Flagler and Bridget Ann and her husband Adam Gregory and a nephew: Derek Lee and his wife Cheryl Hicks.

Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews: Morgan (Mandy); Dallas; Chandler; Emmett; Noah; Addelyn and Andrew.

She had accepted Christ as her Savior as a young lady and was a lifetime member of the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church.
