Benny L. West of Monticello, Kentucky was born November 26, 1969, and departed this life Monday, November 20,2023 reaching the age of 53 years. He was the son of Bobby and Beverly Standley West.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his daughter; Amanda (Cody) Worley, one sister; Penny (Curtis) Thompson, two grandchildren; Adison and Cameron, a special niece Brittany Perkins, and a special nephew; CJ Thompson.

Benny had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior many years ago and was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was also the recipient of the Key to the City of Monticello and a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He loved to sing, play guitar, and perform for an audience, but most of all, he loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 25th from 12PM until 2PM in the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel with a memorial service to follow at 2PM to celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Benny West memorial fund at the funeral home.
