'Bernice Ann Denney, age 71 was born in the Sunnybrook community of Wayne County on February 10, 1939 the only child of the late Prentis and Eva Mae Bertram Asberry. She passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the home of her daughter, losing her battle with cancer.On September 20, 1952 she united in marriage with her husband of fifty-two years, Eugene Denney, who survives. To this union three children survive; Kathy Tucker, Roger Denney and Bro. Tim Denney.Also surviving are her grandchildren: Michael Bridgeman, Dwayne Denney, Amy Denney, Jennifer Cadle and Brian Denney: her five great grandchildren, Chelsea, Gage, Makayla, Madison and Nathan.Mrs. Denney had accepted Christ as her Savior and has been a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church since 1967.
