Betty Sue Brake Reynolds went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in Monticello, Ky.
Betty was born in Monticello, KY on October 21, 1946 to the late Perk and Lorena Sexton Brake. She married Willis Hayden Reynolds on December 24, 1962 and to this union three children were born.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers; Barry and Barton Brake, and one grandson; Stanley Tucker Jr.
Betty accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age and was an active member of the Meadow Creek Baptist Church until her passing.
Betty received her Associates degree in nursing at the Somerset Community College in 1980 and worked as a registered nurse until her health no longer allowed. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was loved by all who knew her.
Left to mourn her passing and cherish her sweet memories are her two sisters; Brenda (Daniel) Merritt of Muncie, IN and Barbara (Jessie) Brockman of Winchester, IN, five brothers; Bruce (Lori) Brake of Muncie, IN, Bob (Pam) Brake of New Castle, IN, Billy (Nancy) Brake and Benny (Janet) Brake of Modoc, IN, and Perk Brake Jr of Winchester, IN, three children; Dosha (Stanley) Tucker of Monticello, KY, Willis Reynolds Jr (Teresa) of Albany, KY, Tywla (Mickey) Stearns of Monticello, KY, six grandchildren; Heather Crabtree, Candi Bell, Ashley Pierce, Samantha (Jason) Cordell, Hayden Reynolds, Terra (Tim) Shelton, two step grandchildren; Jessica and Corey Stearns, fifteen great grandchildren; Breana, Madison, Landon, and Jenny Cordell, Brittany West, Bryson, Brookelynn, and Kayden Pierce, Mackenzie, Kaylee, Hunter, and Ryan Shelton, Aubree Hardwick, Devin Tucker, and Emilee Crabtree, a dear friend; Danny Marcum, as well as many nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends to mourn her passing.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 21 st , 2021 between 5 and 8 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 22, 2021 at 1 PM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jason Bertram and Bro. Melvin Daniels officiating. Burial will be in the Meadow Creek Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society and Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
