Betty Jo Silvers was born June 28, 1943 and departed this life Sunday, November 1, 2020 reaching the age of 77 years. She was the daughter of (the late) Winston Larkin and Lora (Winchester) Silvers.

She is survived by: 1 sister, Linda (David) Hicks; sister-in-law, Faye Silvers; 2 nieces, Katherine (Douglas) Kidd and Norma Sue (Tim) Bybee; 6 nephews, Joe (Jo Carol) Silvers, Rickey Hicks, Darrell (Trisha) Hicks, Terry (Penny) Hicks, Johnny (Patty) Hicks, and Donald (Melinda) Hicks; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: 2 sisters, Florabelle Smith and (infant) Violet Silvers; 2 brothers, James "Snooks" Silvers and Russell Silvers

Her nieces and nephews were like her children and attended to her every need during her illness.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Little Community Baptist Church.

She was a loving sister, aunt, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 between 10 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 1 pm at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Hospice of Lake Cumberland and Little Community Baptist Church.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some restrictions for service attendance. You are asked to please wear a mask or facial covering and observe the social distancing guidelines. No communal food or drinks are allowed at this time.
