'Beulah Dick Ramsey was born September 27, 1927 in the Big Sinking community of Wayne County and departed this life April 26th, 2019. She was the oldest child of John Rowan Dick and Loie Mae Morrow Dick. Both of whom precede her in death.
She graduated from Wayne County High School and attended Lindsey Wilson College and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in elementary education.
In 1958 she married Howard Lee Ramsey who passed away in 1998. To this union one child was born, Susan Maeleah Ramsey. Susan married Billy Shepperd and one child was born, Raymond, Lee Shepperd who survives her. Billy preceded her in death. Later she married Tim Brandenburg, to them one child was born, Matthew Alan Brandenburg who survives. Tim preceded Susan in death.
Beulah's surviving sisters and brothers are: Waldo Dick of South Amherst, Ohio; Lovie Dick Tucker of Somerset, Kentucky; Virginia Casada of Monticello, Kentucky; Woodrow Dick of Monticello and Barbara Sue Guffey of Indianapolis, Indiana.
She is preceded in death by her siblings: Aughdean Stockton, Ather Dick, Lonzo Dick and Darrell Dick
She is survived by her daughter and grandsons. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews all of whom she loved and was so proud of; as well as her many other relatives and friends that remain to mourn her passing.
Beulah joined the Big Sinking Baptist Church at an early age. After she married, she went to Mill Springs Methodist Church were she still attended when able.
She loved teaching and loved all the children she taught. She loved helping with Bible School. She loved all her family and especially enjoyed talking to her grandsons and her daughter. She loved fishing in Lake Cumberland when she was able.
She will be missed by her family and many friends.
