'Billy Ray Rigney, age 78 was born in Wayne County, February 8, 1933 the son of the late Tom W. and Ethel Martin Rigney. He departed this life, Sunday evening, March 13, 2011 at his home on Crawford Street.He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lee New Rigney and sons: David Goad Rigney and his wife Rhonda; Joey Goad and his wife Janice; Ricky Goad and his wife Sheila. He is preceded in death by two sons: Eugene and Franklin Goad.Also surviving are seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren: his one hundred year old aunt, Alma Martin Lewis and two daughter-in-laws; Ann and Peggy.Ray was the last surviving member of the Tome and Ethel Rigney family. He is preceded in death by his siblings: Lula Guinn, Perlie Jenkins, Joyce Baker, Frances Whitehead, Harley and Robert Rigney.
