Bobby Kay Thompson, of Monticello, Kentucky was born July 16, 1944 and departed this life Tuesday, August 29, 2023 reaching the age of 79 years. He was the husband of Joyce Dobbs Thompson and son of the late Osburn Delbert and Zella Juanita Young Thompson.

Along with his wife, he is survived by one daughter; Theresa (Jeff) York, one son; Curtis (Penny) Thompson, four sisters; Eloise Decker, Betty Decker, Marilyn Simpson, Pamela Tucker, one brother; Bro. Kenneth Thompson, four grandchildren; Matthew York, Tasia York, Brittany Perkins, and CJ Thompson, as well as five great grandchildren; Graham York, Cypress Broadhurst, Sabyl Broadhurst, Ariah Thompson, and Leighton Thompson.

He was preceded in death by one infant sister; Matrice Thompson.

Bobby had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior many years ago and was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 1st from 11AM until 2PM in the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services following at 2PM. Burial will be in the Denney Cemetery.
