'Bonnie Chaplin Curtis age 75, was born March 21, 1936 in the Gap Creek community the daughter of the late Jesse Mitchell and Elizabeth Marie Guffey Chaplin. She departed this life, Wednesday, May 18th at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.
On June 5, 1955 she united in marriage with Samuel Grant Curtis Jr who passed away July 28, 2001. To this 46 year union three children survive: Michael and Juanita Curtis and Lisa Bridgeman.
Also surviving are two granddaughters; Melissa Hall and Maryah Smith: two great grandchildren; Bonnie and Jayden Hall: two sisters; Evelyn McGinnis and Patsy Sue Claywell and two brothers; Earl Mitchell Chaplin and Jesse Murl Chaplin.
She is preceded in death by her siblings: Viola King, Katherine Chaplin, Virginia Knoul, Jack Chaplin, Melvin Chaplin and Loxie Lewis.
Mrs. Curtis had made Christ her Lord and attended the Maryland Avenue Pentecostal Church in Covington and the Highway Holiness Church of Monticello
