'Bonnie Tucker Phillips, age 86 was born March 5, 1926 the daughter of the late Sam and Sennie Morrow Tucker. She passed away Sunday afternoon, July 1st at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.
On April 2, 1946 she united in marriage with the late Gilbert Pirson Phillips who passed away October 5, 2006. To this 60 year union eight children were born: Lenvel, Phillips; Sue Phillips; Loyce Phillips; Lonzo and his wife Lisa Phillips; Helen and husband Boyd Foster; Linda and her husband Wayne Tucker; Carol and husband Gary New and Buford Phillips who precedes his mother in death.
Also surviving is her sister: Edna Martin; two sister-in-laws: Glendola Tucker and Gladys Tucker; ten grandchildren: Rebecca Morgan; Jennifer Jones; Sandra Anderson; David Phillips; Mark Foster; Gerald Foster; Daniel Tucker; Kimberly Phillips; Sharon Hicks; Bradley Phillips and nine great grandchildren: Makayla Jones; Drew Phillips; Gage Tucker; Jacob Anderson; Hayley Tucker; Monica Morgan; Emma Foster; Kayden Hicks and Allison Foster with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by her brothers: Donald and Arnold Tucker; three infant siblings and two daughter-in-laws: Mary Phillips and Pearlie Phillips.
Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker and loved her flowers, gardening and sewing. On August 14, 1949 she accepted Christ as her Savior and became a member of the Rock Spring Baptist Church and was a member of the Clay Hill Baptist Church at the time of her passing.
