'Carmel, better known as -Tyler- Elmer Roberts was born November 1st, 1947 to the late Luther and Lula Decker Roberts and passed away March 6th, 2012 at his home in Darlington, Indiana, reaching the age of sixty-four years.
On July 29th, 1968 he united in marriage with Christine Dowell Roberts and to this union five children survive. Donna and her husband William LeGere of Stanford, Kentucky, Rhonda and her husband Eugene Jackson of Crawfordsville, Indiana, Darlene Scott of Indianapolis, Indiana, Caroline and her husband Victor Wilkinson of Stanford, Kentucky and Carmel Junior Roberts of Rushville, Indiana. Also surviving are his siblings, Polly Cummins, William, Luther Jr., Cas, Elisha and John Roberts and also nineteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his siblings, Floyd Pittman, Robert Pittman and Lisco Hammond and a grandson, Ledon Wayne Tuell.
Tyler-s hobbies included working in his garden, his flowers, listening to country music and hunting and fishing when time permitted. He worked for Mid-States for over twenty-six years as a crane operator until the business closed.
