'Carolyn Smith Bennett was born December 24th, 1937 the daughter of Everett and Jimmie Burnett Smith. She passed away Thursday evening, August 2nd at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital reaching an age of 80 years.
She is survived by her husband Steve Bennett; and children: The late John Young Jr., Carol Ann McCandless, Perry Young, and step children: Risa Teeters, Denise Hewing, Melody Perry, and Cindy Simmons.
Also surviving are her siblings: Donna Johnson and Roger Smith, 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. With many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Carolyn had accepted Christ as her savior as a young lady and was a member of the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, Monticello, KY.',
