­­­­­­­­­­Carrol Lynn New was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 11, 1955, and departed this walk of life, at her home, Wednesday, July 22, 2026, reaching the age of 70 years. She was the daughter of Arlus Bradshaw and Margaret (Stevens) Bradshaw.

She is survived by her daughters: Lorrie Young (Chris Phelps) and LaBreeska (Young) Stigall; Father: Arlus Bradshaw; Grandchildren: Chelsea Gibson (Jacob), Kresley Burnette, Braxton Young, Tyler Stigall and Christian Phelps; Great Grandchildren: Easton, Colson, Landree and Oaklee Southwood and Knox Gibson. Brother: Ronnie Bradshaw; Sister: Cindy Upchurch (Kelvin), both of which she considered her children; Niece: Renea Warfield; Nephew: Blake Bradshaw; Father-in-law: Erstle New; Sister-in-law: Sherry New; Brother-in-law: Terry New; 3 Great Nieces and One Great Nephew. Along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her mother: Maragaret (Stevens) Bradshaw; she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Erstle Dwayne New, whom she wed on December 27, 1997.

Carrol had a generous heart and a deep desire to help others. She loved playing the guitar, piano, and organ, and traveled throughout the United States sharing her love of music. She was a devoted caretaker to many, including her husband, remaining faithfully by his side, throughout his battle with cancer, until his passing. Her daughters and grandchildren called her the “Best Mom and Grandma of all time.” Carrol was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
