'Cecil Rose was born October 17, 1928 the son of the late Richard and Ruthie Hall Rose and departed this life, Wednesday morning, October 30th at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital reaching an age of 85 years.

He was united in marriage with Gracie Coleman who survives. To this union three sons survive: Melvin, Richard and Steve Rose. His children: Wayne Rose, Anna Farmer and Sue Murray precedes him in death.

He later united in marriage with Adell Gregory Rose who precedes him in death. To this union five children survive: Mary Galusha, Frona Owsley, Brock Roberts, Kitty Gregory and Cathy Gregory. His children: Cecil Rose Jr., Jeffery Rose and Connie Rose precedes him in death.

Also surviving are his sisters: Gladine East and Rosetta Garlett many grandchildren, great grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Cecil had accepted Christ as his Lord and was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church.
