Chad
Ledbetter
Sep 9, 1970 — Oct 1, 2026
Albany, Kentucky
Chad Ledbetter passed away on October 1, 2026.
Chad was the son of the late Danny Ledbetter and Norma Fulton. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his three children: Tyler Ledbetter (Lindsay), Natasha Retzlaff (Richard), and Kimber Ledbetter; and two grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Tabitha Creech (Sherman); his nephew, Stephen Creech, as well as a host of friends and family.
Many people knew Chad as “Wick,” and those who knew him by that name knew he loved to have a good time. He lived a life centered around partying and enjoying himself, a way of life that remained constant throughout his years.
Chad was a man of many talents and interests. He was exceptionally intelligent and musically gifted. He also had a love for writing and valued his faith.
A special place in remembering Chad is also held by Amanda Ledbetter, who shared an important chapter of his earlier life.
Chad’s life was complicated and shaped by the choices he made. His relationships with his children were largely nonexistent, as he often prioritized other parts of his lifestyle and the people around him over those relationships. Though the relationships with his children were never what they should have been, they remain a part of his story and legacy.
May he rest in peace, and may those who knew him carry forward the memories—both complicated and meaningful—that remain.
Honoring the families wishes, there will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Chad Ledbetter Memorial Fund. c/o Hickey Funeral Home.
Hickey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
