Charles "Charlie" Denney of Monticello, Kentucky was born November 26, 1936, and departed this life Friday, December 8, 2023, reaching the age of 87 years. He was the husband of Georgia Pauline Denney and son of the late Marcellus and Beulah Walcott Denney. He is preceded in death by his sisters Mildred Coomer, Myrtle Coomer, Margie Zimmerman, Lena "Dolly" Guffey, Shirley Frost, two brothers, Hobert Denney and Marcellus "Jr." Denney and one granddaughter, Brittany Piercy.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughter; Robin (Freddie) Piercy, one sister; Phyllis Bertram, two grandchildren; Amber (Jeremy) Rector and Knox (Rachel) Piercy, and five great-grandchildren; Campbell Rector, Rowan Rector, Nash Piercy, Payne Piercy, and Palmer Piercy.

Charlie will be greatly missed by his wife of 63 years, his family, friends, customers, employees and all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 11th from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Conley Bottom Marina with funeral services to follow at 1 PM. Services will be followed by a private burial.

Expressions of sympathy made be made in the form of donations to the Alzheimer's Association or the Lake Cumberland Clean-Up.
