'Charles Richard Houchins, known by many as "Pa", was born in Lake View, Ohio on March 16th, 1926, and he died peacefully the morning of March 25th, 2018. He was the son of Jesse and Elizabeth Houchins and had five brothers and two sisters, all of whom preceded him in death. Charles leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Lenna M. Houchins, and six children: David, Jon, Lacey, Karen, Sheila, and Terri. He had ten grandchildren: David, Jon, Jesse, Dwane, Kristina, Brooke, Gary, Charles, Kyle, and Christian, as well as fifteen great grandchildren, and one 5th generation grandchild.

Charles served proudly in the Navy on the Pacific Front during World War II and was also an active member of the Masonic Centre Lodge No. 23 for more than 61 years. He was a devoted congregant of Victory Baptist Church in Whiteland, Indiana where he attended service regularly. Charles retired as a General Forman from GM Truck and Bus in 1982.

Funeral services for Mr. Houchins will be held at Hickey and Son Funeral home in Monticello, Kentucky, and from there he will be laid down to his final resting place at Gran Young Cemetery in Delta, KY. The showing will be from 4pm - 8pm on Friday March 30th, and the Funeral will be held at 11am on Saturday March 31st, 2018.',
