Charles B. Upchurch was born September 23, 1930 and departed this life Monday, October 12, 2020 reaching the age of 90 years. He was the son of the late Joe and Hattie (Choate) Upchurch.

He is survived by: 2 daughters, Rita (Michael) Latham and Rebecca Clark; and 3 sons, Ray (Julie) Upchurch, Roger (Brenda) Upchurch and Ronnie (Jackolyn) Upchurch; 1 brother, Carl Upchurch; 13 grandchildren, Joni Upchurch, Amber Crabtree, Marcia Dick, Misty Murphy, Brad Latham, Brandi Hellewell, Ashley McGhee, Nikki Upchurch, Taylor Upchurch, Reagan Upchurch, Ronda Upchurch, Christy Upchurch and Katrina Crabtree; and 20 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Glenna Upchurch; 5 brothers, Clayton, Kenneth, John, Curtis and Bob Upchurch; 5 sisters, Vela Brown, Velma Mullins, Ottie Tuggle, Ollie Upchurch and Bonnie Upchurch; and 1 son-in-law, Gene Clark.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 15, 2020 after 5 pm with a Masonic service being held at 7 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. (Masonic members need to meet at 6 pm for preparation of the service at the lodge.) Funeral services will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 at 10 am at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
