'Charles Lewis Vitatoe was born in the Cartwright community of Clinton County, August 15, 1933 the son of the late William Haskell and Lillian Burchett Vitatoe. He departed this life, Saturday morning, August 23, at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky, reaching an age of 81 years.

On August 1, 1953 he united in marriage with his wife of 61 years: Barbara Upchurch Vitatoe who survives. To this union two sons survive: Steve Vitatoe and Doug (Connie) Vitatoe. An infant daughter: Debra Ann Vitatoe precedes him in death.

Also surviving are his grandchildren: Jacob, James (Mary), Heather (Eric) Prince, Christie Townsend, Dusty and Kyle Vitatoe with several great grandchildren, other relatives and many, many friends to mourn his passing.

He is preceded in death by his siblings: Katherine Reynolds and an infant brother: George Vitatoe.

Charles service his country with honor during the Korean War in the Army. He served his Lord as a faithful and dependable member of the Locketts Chapell United Methodist Church.
