'Clara Gillon Roberts Jones was born September 14, 1929 in McCreary County, the daughter of the late Joe Curtis and Emma Jane Coffey Roberts. She departed this life, Tuesday morning, September 4th at her home reaching an age of 88 years.
She was united in marriage with Earl Jones who precedes her in death. To this union five children survive: Margie Louise Decker, Virginia Gayle Corder, Shirley Kay Jones, Gerald Douglas and David Dwight Jones; also surviving are seven grandchildren: Joe Curtis Jones, Brock Ashley Corder, Baranda Dawn Corder, Amanda Sue Parmley, Brandon Shane Decker, Deanna Russell and Brittany Decker and eight great-grandchildren and sisters: Nellie Foster and Barbara Gregory.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Kathleen Burke, Betty June Foster, Hobert, Jack, Roosevelt, David and Jewellene Roberts, Logan, Ed, Joe Bill, Charlie, Marvin, Polly, Georgia, Lucy, and Cora Roberts.
Clara had accepted Christ as her Savior as a young lady and was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church.',
