Obituary
'Clara Alton Turpin, age 85 was born in Wayne County, March 31, 1926 the daughter of the late McKinley and Ada Walker Alton. She departed this life Saturday morning, October 22, 2011 at the Golden Years Nursing Home.
On August 15, 1950 she united in marriage with Herman Oliver Turpin who passed away July 15, 2005. To this union six children survive: Kenneth; Harry; Anita Turpin; Patricia Simpson; Jerry and Jeff Turpin.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren: 10 great grandchildren: her sister; Glendola Tucker with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by three great grandchildren: her sisters, Mae Abbott; Lonnie Covey and Vena Morrow and brothers, Sherla; Namon and Hillard Alton.
Mrs. Turpin had accepted Christ as her savior and was a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church
