Clyde Thomas Davenport, age 98 of Monticello, KY, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Golden Years Nursing Home.

He was born October 21, 1921 in Monticello, KY; the son of (the late) William Frances and Lucy (Boston) Davenport.

He married Lorene (Gregory) Davenport who survives him in death.

He is survived by: his wife of 69 years, Lorene Davenport; 4 daughters, Phyllis (Terry) Baker, Sharon (Glen) Rutherford, Patricia Pyles and Betty Price; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 4 brothers, Sherman, Ovid, Dallas and Lyle Davenport; and 3 sisters, Lillie Sullivan, Hattie Ball and Alma Hurt.

He served in the Army and was a Veteran of WWII.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 between 5 pm and 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 1 pm at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Beck Cemetery.
