Connie Sue Guffey Brown, age 66, was born March 21, 1955 in Monticello to Bill and Mable Guffey. Her Heavenly eternity began on December 4, 2021.

She is survived by her father, William Dyer "Bill" Guffey, Sister, Teri Lynn Guffey Fox (the late Mark Fox) and sister in-law, Geraldine Guffey, her children, Kellie Atwell (Eric), Aaron Anderson (Ceara), and Paige Stringer (Tyler). Grandchildren, Brooklyn Casada, Ethan Casada, Sydney Atwell, Erin Atwell, Nevaeh Anderson, Blake Atwell, Gavin Atwell, Ace Anderson, & Zayn Anderson. Last, but not least, her loyal fur baby, Buttons Brown.

Preceding her in death was her companion, Wallace Gene Brown, Mother, Mary Mable Gregory Guffey, Brother, Teddy Wayne Guffey, and Fur Baby Maggie.

Connie never met a stranger; her outgoing compassionate personality was one of a kind. Her tender heart could not stand to see anyone hurt. While she worked at Oakwood, Connie would bring lonely residents who had no family to her own Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners. She became their family. Her energy lit up the room like Norm entering Cheers, people often called out "Connie". Oftentimes people would say to her loved ones, "Oh, you're Connie's sister or daughter". She was so fun to be around and even in her sickness, Connie kept everyone laughing. It was the simple things in life that brought her joy, family time, beautiful sunsets, music of all sorts, watching the hummingbirds, and country drives leaf looking to name a few.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 8 ^th from 10AM until 2 PM in the funeral home chapel with funeral services following at 2PM. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
