Obituary
'Dewey Clint Phillips, age 62 was born February 22, 1945 the son of the late Claude and Vina Foster Phillips. He passed away, Saturday November 3rd in the house of his birth in the Freedom community of Wayne County.
He is survived by three daughters, Rebecca and her husband Johnny Dishman, Rhonda and her husband Kevin Bell and Renea Sexton. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Dylan, Summer, Austin and his special friend , Alta McGinnis.
Surviving are four sisters, Attlean Kennedy, Phyllis and her husband Luid Martin, Evalee and her husband Leeman Branscum, Helen Coffey ; brothers, Obie E. Phillips, Raymond Phillips, Samuel -Sam- and his wife Geneve Phillips, Danny and his wife Estile Phillips and Pleaz and his wife Sheila Phillips.
He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ariel and brothers, Hobert and Allen Phillips.
Dewey had accepted Christ as his savior in October 1953 and became a member of the Freedom Baptist Church where he was now a member.
