Don "The Cat" Whitaker was born on January 10th,1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Ray and Christine Welch Whitaker and departed this life on June 3 ^rd ,2021 reaching the age of 80 years old.

Don was a saved Christian man and was a member of the Monticello Baptist Tabernacle. He was united in marriage to Linda Honey Whitaker on May 23 ^rd ,2009 who survives.

He is also survived by two stepchildren; Ira Honey Jr and Cindy Honey, two grandchildren; Kaleb Honey and Jasmine Overstreet, two great grandchildren; Karson Honey and Nolah Campbell, and one sister Anna Ray Combs.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother; Joe Whitaker.

Don was a former radio DJ who loved listening to music and watching movies. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 6th, 2021 from 5 to 8 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 7 ^th ,2021 at 1 PM in the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Huckaby and Bro. Charles Meece officiating.  Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
