Donald Roberts of Monticello, Kentucky was born December 3,1937 and departed this life Wednesday, May 3, 2023 reaching the age of 85 years. He was the son of the late Luther and Winnie Denney Roberts and husband of Bernice Morrow Roberts.

Along with his wife, he is survived by two sons; Timothy (Teresa) Roberts, Michael Roberts, one grandson; Bryan Roberts, and three brothers; David Roberts, Bobby Roberts, and Kay Roberts.

He was preceded in death by six sisters; Tonie Lutrell, Ruby Ellis, Gladys South, Betty Perry, Faye Burnett, Hazel Bryant, and five brothers; Clayton Roberts, Herbert Roberts, Charlie Roberts, Raymond Roberts, and Arnold Roberts.

Donald had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior many years ago and was a member of the Newtown Baptist Church where he was Founder and Trustee of the church.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 7 ^th from 5PM until 8PM in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 8 ^th in the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00AM. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Memorial Plan.
