Donna Jean Parris Sloan was born September 26,1944 to the late Lovie Lee Barnes Parris and Robert Francis Parris.

She was united in marriage on October 28,1964 to Kenneth Sloan. To this union 3 children were born Doris, Robert, and James Sloan.

She was the second of six children born to Lovie Lee "Tootie" and Robert Parris two sisters; Veronica "Earlene" Slaughter and Kathleen Sloan, three brothers Kay and Sonny Parris all of which preceded her in death leaving 1 brother Wendell Barnes's of San Antonio Texas.

She leaves to mourn a son a daughter along with two grandchildren Devin and Halei Sloan with whom she raised as her own. Four other grandchildren Braedon Sloan, Kamara Sloan, Austin Ramsey and Maci Huff. She was also a great grandmother to Keilen Calhoun, Bralei Lofton, and Oliver Hutchinson (Halei Sloan), Malaya Sloan and Karson Sloan (Devin Sloan)

Donna was a very beautiful woman with love and friendliness to all that knew her. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was an active member at Mt.Zion Frazier until her misfortunate routine procedure which occurred in 2020. Donna Jean was a very strong and courageous person who kept the faith. She persevered with strength and endurance until the end 12/26/2022 after spending a loving heartfelt Christmas with her son, daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren at her side. She will be greatly and sadly missed as the family continues through this life without her presence, but with cherished and beautiful memories that will live on.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 2, 2023, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 2, 2023, at 1 pm at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel.
