Dorothy Bell Stringer age 87 of Monticello, Kentucky passed away Monday, April 19 ^th , 2021 at the Wayne County Hospital.

She was born August 22, 1933 in Rocky Branch, Ky to the late Luther Bell and Flonnie Foust Bell.

She is survived by a son; James (Debbie) Stringer, daughters; Brenda (Homer) Corder and Dora Ray (Donald) Gossage, brothers; Ancil Bell of Stearns, Ky and Lyle Demp Bell of Monticello, KY, grandchildren; Donyale (Stuart) Chriswell, Dawnette (Jason) West, Shannon (James) Shelton, Bradley (Myra) Corder, and Cara Corder, great-grandchildren; Ethan and Maddy Royalty, Abigail Shelton, Logan and Zachary West, Rylan Matthews, and Camryn Dobbs.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers; Carl and Cecil Bell, her sisters; Plumie Kendall and Lela Guffey, and a great-grandson; Bret Shelton.

Dorothy had accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member of the Bell Hill Baptist Church.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed.

The family received friends Friday, April 23 ^rd , 2021 from 11am until 1pm at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were held Friday, April 23 at 1 pm in the Chapel of the funeral home with Bro. Danny Burks, officiating.  Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund.
