'Dorothy Fay Wallen, age 75, of Monticello, Ky., gained her wings and went home to be with the Lord at The Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center in Somerset, Ky., around her family and friends on Friday evening April 13,2018, after a short illness.
Fay Wallen was born on November 14, 1942 in Monticello, Ky., the daughter of the late Monti "Buck" Clyde Bridgeman and Martha Washington Bridgeman Lewis, whom she is survived by.
She was united into marriage on June 1,1962 to Kenneth Coy Wallen, whom she is survived by. Fay is also survived by two sons, Kenneth Gary Wallen and wife (Teresa) and Marty Lynn Wallen and wife (Tamara). She is preceded in death by one daughter Skyla Gail Wallen.
Fay is also survived by one sister Barbara Upchurch and sister-in-law Laurie Bridgeman. She is preceded in death by one brother Donald Bridgeman and brother-in- law Bill Upchurch.
She was blessed to have four grandchildren Cortney Flowers, Shad Wallen, Martyca Wallen, and Shayda Wallen. She was also blessed to have three great grandchildren, Nickolas Gregory, Mckenzie Upchurch and Zoey Harwell and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins along with a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She accepted Christ as her Savior and became a member of the Monticello Nazarene Church on January 2, 1966. Fay enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors and being with her animals. She was a little league baseball coach for several years and enjoyed coaching the young children on the field and in life. Anyone that knew Fay knew that she was a very outgoing person and would do anything she could to help. She retired from Lifeline being a CNA nurse taking care of her patients and also a caretaker of the elderly at their homes.
Services will be at Hickey and Son Funeral Home, visitation being Monday April 16 from 5 to 9 and funeral on Tuesday, April 17 at 1:00, graveside and burial will be in the family cemetery at Morris Hill.',
