'Earl Catron, age 83 was born in the Powersburg community of Wayne County, May 1, 1929 the son of the late Cress and Lessie Denney Catron. He departed this life Saturday morning after an extended illness.
On September 16, 1950 he united in marriage with Loretta Bertram Catron who survives. To this sixty-two year union three sons survive David and his wife Carolyn Catron: Joel and his wife Charmaine Catron and Tim and his wife Debra Catron.
Surviving are eight grandchildren: Lori; Amy; Jeremy; Brandon; Brian; Josh; Dustin and Tyler, great grandchildren: Brittani; Kaiti; McKenzie; Makayla; Jacob; Grant; Rylan; Noah; Ty; Austin; Ethan and Bryce, great-great grandchildren: Kason and Konner. Also surviving is his sister: Hazel Hicks and brother: Kenneth Catron.
Earl was retired from the Kentucky Department of Social Services. As a young man he accepted Christ as his Savior and was a member of the Monticello First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
