'Edna Evelyn Hurt Blevins, was born in Wayne County, May 18, 1936 the daughter of the late Henry and Alma Davenport Hurt. She passed away Monday, at her home reaching an age of 83 years.
On April 1, 1960 she united in marriage with Buster Blevins who passed away February 20, 1992. To this union two daughters survive: Teresa and her husband Lynn Slagle and Melissa and husband Mark Dishman. Three infant children precede her in death. Alicia, Garr Brent and Constance Blevins.
Also surviving are her siblings: Katherine Troxell, Gladys Winchester and Claude Hurt; grandchildren: Cortney (Chadd) Farmer, Joshua Slagle, Ryan (Whitney) Dishman and Sara (Erik) Clifford; great grandchildren: Lila, Poppy, Cali, Rylan, Rylie and Savannah.
She is also preceded in death by her siblings: Hilda Simpson and Wallace Hurt.
Mrs. Blevins worked for many years in the local clothing industry. She had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.',
