Obituary
'Ella Mae Bobbitt Cowan, was born March 21, 1933 the daughter of the late John and Tennie Johnson Bobbitt. She passed away Sunday evening, May 16th at the Wayne County Hospital reaching an age of 77 years.
On June 27th, 2001 she united in marriage with Rev. Joseph Lee Cowan who survives. Surviving are her children, Mary (Rev. Joseph, deceased)MacAdoo, Ralph (Eula Kay) Duncan, Reatha (Isaiah) Harris, Cledis (Stacey Lynn) Duncan and a step daughter Ernestine (Lee) Foster and Domonique (Eric) Ehler.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren,; her sister, Minnie Lee Everett and brother, James Bobbitt with many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by her children, Alphonso Duncan and Betty Jean Foxx and her brother, William Bobbitt.
Mrs. Cowan had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of the Emmanuel Temple Holiness Church.
