Obituary
'Elsie Darlene Denney, age 79 was born in Wayne County, April 2, 1936 the daughter of the late Jerry and Beatrice Denney Thompson. She departed this life on Wednesday, January 6th at the Clinton County Hospital in Albany.
On May 7, 1953 she united in marriage with Claude Elburn Denney, who passed away March 28th, 1998. To this 44-year union two children survive: June Pitman and Chad Denney both of Monticello. Surviving are grandchildren: Jason Pitman, Shannon Bell and Chloie Denney; and great grandchildren: Aaron Crabtree, Kaeli, Kason and Keeton Pitman, Allison and Abigale Bell.
Also surviving are her siblings: Erma Laws, Helen Dowdy, Ronnie, Kirby and Billy Thompson. Her siblings: Eldon, Dallas and Irene Thompson precedes her in death.
As a young lady, Darlene accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church at the time of her passing.

5 to 9 PM Friday in the Funeral Home Chapel
