'Eric Tyler Upchurch was born March 6th, 1991 and passed away Saturday, June 15th reaching the age of twenty two years.
He is survived by his parents Jennifer St.Clair and David Shane Upchurch. He is also survived by his step-father Dennis St.Clair, his brother; Jacob Upchurch, his half-brother Elijah Upchurch, step-brothers: Jamie, Lee and Mick St. Clair, his grandparents; Patricia New and David Upchurch, his aunts; Angela (James) Alexander, Rochelle (Michael) Marcum, Sara (Chris) Thompson, his uncle; Jansen and his cousins; LaShanda Denham, Dakota Alexander and Zackary Alexander, Kyle and Corey Upchurch, Trenton Jones and Adam Marcum.
Preceding him in death were his grandmother, Peggy Upchurch and grandfather, Marcellus New.
At an early age, Eric started playing soccer and baseball. As he got older, he played basketball and cheer leaded some. When he was 15, he entered the demolition derby. At the age of sixteen, Eric accepted Jesus as his Savior. He was a member of the Steubenville Baptist Church. Eric had a big heart. He was kind and loving. As a child growing up, he was into different sports. Eric graduated class of 2009 from Monticello High School, he went to Vocational School and learned to work on cars. When he graduated, he bought a 4-wheeler and had it modified to run races in Albany. His favorite hobbies were to fish and go camping. He would stay out all night to fish with his friends.
He loved his family very much and family was important to him and we knew this. He never said goodbye without telling us he loved us.
Eric will be greatly missed by all who he came in contact with.
