'Erma Rachel Johnson, age 83 was born in Silver Point, Tennessee, April 26th, 1928, the daughter of the late James Samuel and Alma Lillian Coleman Hickey. She departed this life Thursday, September 1st at the Wayne County Hospital after an extended illness.

On September 11, 1948 she united in marriage with her husband of 42 years, Willard Kenneth Johnson who passed away November 6th, 1990. To this union 13 children survive: seven daughters; Jean Ping, Nancy Johnson, Pat Powers, Lesha Albertson, Luci Bender, Lynda Harris and Julie Upchurch and six sons; James, Wayne, Ples, Willard, Donald and Dale Johnson.

Also surviving are three step children: Frances Adams, Reba Keith and Kenneth Johnson: 41 grandchildren: numerous great grandchildren: five sisters; Dorothy Allen, Clara Fox, Alberta Garwood, Joyce Byrd and Annie Flatt and four brothers; Sammy, Gene, Columbus and Donnie Hickey.

She is also preceded in death by her step child; Betty French: one grandchild, Kayla: her sister, Geneva Garwood and brothers; Charlie and Johnny Hickey.

Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and mother to her children and extended family and was a member of the Jehovah-s Witnesses.
