Ethel Jo Elam, age 87 of Monticello, KY, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at her home.

She was born May 12, 1933 in Monticello, KY; the daughter of (the late) Howard and Esther (Jones) Wright.

She married Bobby Gene Elam on December 27, 1952 and to this union three children survive: Robert and his wife Lisa Elam, Perry and wife Randy Elam, Rebecca Elam and her fiancé Martin Breeding.

Also surviving are: 8 grandchildren: Landon, Lance, Bryce & Wesley Elam, Paul Taylor, Tanner Perkins, Brittany Saylor and Kenny Burton; 16 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband of 58 years, Bobby Gene Elam; 1 son William Elam; 1 brother Gene "Cedar" Wright; and 1 granddaughter, Suzanne Elam.

Pallbearers include: Landon Elam, Lance Elam, Bryce Elam, Paul Taylor, Wesley Elam, Tanner Perkins and Max Saylor.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, and upon recommendations from the CDC for Funeral Homes, a PRIVATE funeral service will be held for Ethel Jo Elam.
