Flonnie Bell Broyles was born in Rocky Branch, KY March 11, 1940, and went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 29,2025, reaching the age of 85 years.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Staff Sgt. Jimmy Dale Winchester, during the Vietnam war. She was very proud to be a military wife.

She was also preceded in death by her mother, Opal and father Tom, one brother, Bobby Decker and one sister, Shirley Spradlin.

Survivors include her five children: Pattie (Jerry) Corder, Elaine (Jackie) Bertram, Arlie Dewayne Winchester, Jackie Lynne (Mike) Burleson and Sallye Broyles. Ten Grandchildren: Heather (Chad) Lair, Charlie Dobbs, Tabby Dobbs, Amber (Jarrod) Criswell, Rachel (David) Selvidge, Paige (Jeff) Flinchum, Alex Burleson, Jackson Burleson, Samantha (Alex) Petrenko and Tyler (Retina) Poore. Sixteen Great Grandchildren: Alyssa Lair, Andrew Lair, JD (Carissa) Criswell, Maggie Criswell, Nate Criswell, Clayton Selvidge, Olivia Selvidge, Elijah Flinchum, Danielle Flinchum, Aurora Flinchum, Skyler Edwards, Emory Burleson, Scarlett Petrenko, Russell Petrenko, Jazlyn Antle and Jansen Poore. Four Great-Great Grandchildren: Emmalyn Lair, Sophia Rua, Isabel Rua and Brooks Criswell. She's also survived by two sisters, Dorothy (Jerry) Askins and Sue (David) Bell, and two brothers, Jack Bell and Buddy (Betty) Decker, and many nieces and nephews who will mourn her passing.

Flonnie fiercely loved Jesus, her family, her church and church family, UK basketball and anyone she ever met. She was so proud of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She loved going to and supporting them in all their events.

Flonnie accepted Christ at an early age and was a long-time member of Faith Baptist Church. She loved singing in the choir and for many years, she served as the treasurer of the women's auxiliary. She continued to be a faithful member, even after her health prevented her from attending in person. For the last 40 years, she was the primary caregiver for her only son Arlie Dewayne Winchester, for as long as she was physically able. She soon developed a special bond with Dewayne's daytime caregiver Lois Logan and considered her family.

Although she endured many, many trials and tribulations, her faith never wavered.  She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed until we see her again at the gates of Heaven.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM in the chapel of Hickey Funeral Home. Thursday, December 4, 2025, visitation will begin at 8:00 am up to the funeral hour of 11:00 AM at Faith Baptist Church.
