'Frankie Jewell Short Abner was born September 26th, 1930 in Blacks Ferry, (Cumberland County) Kentucky to the late Sullivan and Addie Carry Short and passed away Friday, May 15th, 2015 at her home on Sunset Boulevard reaching an age of eighty four years.

She is survived by her three children; Joyce and her husband Bruce Bolin, Jewell Smith and Ronnie Abner, her two brothers; Stanley and Paul Short along with nineteen grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her two children; Tom and Earnest Abner, her three siblings; Bonnie Keene, Prentis and J.D. Short and her son-in-law; Lonzo Smith.

Frankie had accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior many years ago and was a member of the Fall Creek United Baptist Church.

Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of donations to the Davis Chapel Cemetery Fund.
