December 4, 1934 – February 4, 2022
Freeman Collas Flynn of Monticello, Kentucky was born December 4 th ,1934 and departed this life Friday, February 4th, reaching the age of 87 years. He was the son of the late William Green Flynn and Lela Clark Flynn.
Freeman was united in marriage to Wilma Branscum Flynn on August 8 th , 1966. This August would have been their 56 th anniversary.
Along with his wife Wilma, he is survived by his children: Arthur (Jill) Flynn, Helen Rednour, William Flynn, and Mary Flynn, four grandchildren; Joshua Rednour, Seth Flynn, Faith Flynn, and Sierra Jones, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son; Charles Flynn, three sisters; Lurie Taylor, Lossie Tucker, and Georgia Hoeflich, and five brothers; Herbert Flynn, Odis Flynn, Ernie Flynn, Herstal Flynn, and Leman Flynn.
Freeman had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior many years ago and was a member of the Upper Turkey Creek Baptist Church. He worked most of his life in the log woods. He also loved growing his own garden and hunting.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 8 th from 5PM until 8 PM in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 9 th at 1PM in the Hickey funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Upper Turkey Creek Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Heart Association.
