Obituary
'Frona Elam Blevins, age 96 was born in the Oil Valley community of Wayne County, March 21, 1912 the daughter of the late Menzo and Mary Blevins Elam. She departed this life Friday morning, July 11th at the Golden Years Nursing Home after an extended illness.
On December 16, 1939 she united in marriage with Henry C. Blevins who passed away September 29th, 2002. To this union two daughters survive; Carol McCutchen and Glena Burke both of Monticello.
Also surviving are two grandchildren, Sonya Jones and Mark McCutchen, a great granddaughter Lindsey and one sister, Neva Kirkpatrick with many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Elizabeth Williams and Ora Baurxix and brothers, Omer, Kermit, Oliver, R.W., Clyde and Elver Elam and one infant sibling.
Mrs. Blevins accepted Christ as her Savior as a young lady and became a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. In the mid 1940-s she moved to Monticello and became a member of the Monticello First Baptist Church where she remained a member until her passing.
Visitation:
Saturday from 5 to 9 and Sunday until service time
Funeral:
4 PM Sunday in the Funeral Home Chapel
