'Gary Dean Davis, was born July 8, 1938 in the Parmleysville community of Wayne County, the son of the late Floyd and Rosie Gregory Davis. He departed this life, Tuesday afternoon at his home reaching an age of 80 years.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Tucker Davis and one son, Bro. Dwight and his wife Glenna Davis. Also surviving are two grandchildren: Ginny and Douglas Davis and his sister, Mildred Gregory.
He is preceded in death by his sisters: Audress Gregory, Fern Tuggle, Gladys Newport and Martha Foster and four brothers: Earl, Ray, Herman and Rankin Davis.
As a young man Dean accepted Christ as his Savior and became a member of the Bethel Baptist Church at Parmleysville. In his life he did construction work, worked in a factory and drove a school bus but his life was working on the farm.',
