'Geneva -Neva- West age 84 was born in McCreary County, September 2, 1923 the daughter of the late Henry Milford and Alice Phips Coffey. She departed this life, Saturday evening, March 1st, at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, KY.

On November 26, 1947 she united in marriage with Alonzo West who passed away February 10, 2002. To this union nine children survive; Melwood West of Burlington, KY, Rachael Easter, Wiladeen Hill, James, Daniel, Milford, Richard, Darrell and Jerry West all of Monticello.

Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and three sisters, Emma Dolen, Irene Hoover and Nellie Coffey.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, Sally Roberts, Tina Worley, Effie Taffley and her brother, George Coffey.

Mrs. West had accepted Christ as his savior as a young lady and was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church.
