'Georgia Marie Hancock Kidd was born August 10th, 1937 in the Powersburg Community of Wayne County to the late Newell Desco and Bertha Lee Hicks Hancock and passed away Monday, March 17th at the Wayne County Hospital reaching the age of seventy-six years.

On February 26th, 1955 she united in marriage to Andy Kidd, who survives, and to this union two children survive; Angela and her husband Donald Wilkerson and Ralph and his wife Tena Winfrey. Also surviving are her siblings; Mary Turner, Martha Gann, Barbara Sue Tackett, T.C. Hancock, Roger Hancock and Ricky Hancock, her son-in-law Jim Gordon along with five grandchildren; Aaron Cadwallader, Jeremy and Lucas Wilkerson and Autumn and Russell Winfrey, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews to mourn her passing.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Delorise Gordon and a grandson Adam Cadwallader.

Georgia had been saved many years ago and attended the Methodist Church. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends that loved her so much.
