'Geraldine Karnes Herbst was born in Greensburg, Kentucky November 11, 1926 the daughter of the late Allen and Pearl Butler Karnes. She passed away Wednesday morning, September 14, at the Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester after an extended illness.She was united in marriage with Joseph Andrew Herbst who passed away October 7, 1998. To this union five children survive: John Herbst, Paulette Stogsdill, Teresa Page, Susan Trimble and Jennifer Chaplin.Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Bob and David King, Heather Kinnett, Amy and Jan Trimble, Ashley Page, Joseph and Jacob Chaplin and Hannah Herbst: Seven great grandchildren; Tyler, William, Andrew and Morgan king, Jordan and John Preston Kinnett and Ryan Thornsbury: her siblings; Dorothy Mouser, William, Lonnie, Randal, Ronnie and Darrell Karnes.She is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Booher and brothers, Austin and James Karnes.Mrs. Herbst had accepted Christ as her Savior and faithfully attended the New Charity Baptist Church and later the Immanuel Baptist Church.
