Glendola Alton Tucker was born June 27 ^th , 1932 in Wayne County to the late McKinley and Ada Walker Alton and passed away Tuesday, March 16 ^th at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center in Somerset reaching the age of 88 years.

On September 21 ^st , 1950 she united in marriage to Arnold Tucker who passed away June 4 ^th , 2011.

She is survived by her daughter, Margie Irwin, her sons, James and his wife Debbie Tucker and Boyce Tucker along with her four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, Lonnie Covey, Clara Turpin, Vena Morrow and May Abbott and her brothers, Sherla, Hillard and Namon Alton.

Glendola had accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior many years ago and was a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 19th between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home and on Saturday, March 20 ^th from 9 am-11am at the Cedar Hill Baptist Church.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am at the Cedar Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Michael Hammond, Bro. Jason Bertram, and Bro. Steve Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Denney Cemetery.
