Glenn Odell Hurst was born on October 9, 1935, in the small town of Alicia, Arkansas. He departed this life on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the age of 90. He was the son of the late Floyd Denver Hurst and Loma Rosa Josephine (Harriott) Hurst.

He is survived by his children, David Hurst (Sherrie), Cheryl Campbell (Steve), Perry Hurst (Heather), and Alisa Fischer-Hurst (Dennis), two sisters, Nina Geraldine and Janis Olivia; 10 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. He is also remembered by many other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Denver Hurst and Loma Rosa Josephine (Harriott) Hurst; his sisters, Elva Pauline “Polly,” Waudine Iola “Dine,” Viola Maxine, and Barbara Jean; and his brothers, Carroll Gene, Estel John Thomas, and Carl Lavon.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Carl Kidd Cemetery.
